A GP elected as a Conservative MSP has condemned fellow parliamentarians for “inciting” Scots to blockade an immigration enforcement raid in Glasgow.

Dr Sandesh Gulhane said immigration was a reserved matter and MSPs should leave enforcement to the UK government.

Gulhane, who unsuccessfully challenged the Scottish justice secretary, Humza Yousaf, in his Glasgow Pollok constituency but was elected on the Glasgow list, condemned politicians who backed demonstrators who prevented immigration enforcers from arresting two asylum seekers in Glasgow southside on Thursday.
