The number of EU nationals working in the UK has reached a record following a post-Brexit slump, according to official figurs published today.
There are now 330,000 Romanian and Bulgarian nationals working in the country, up by more than 200,000 in three and a half years.
However, the ONS Labour Market statistics show that the number of nationals from Poland and seven other east European states employed in the UK is now below one million for the first time since the beginning of 2016.
Workers from the original EU member states such as France, Germany and Italy increased in the year to April-June 2017.
