Immigration officers swooped on a premises in Glasgow following reports that a man was working there illegally.

Enforcement officers working for the Home Office were in attendance on Crow Road in the city's West End at around 4pm on Saturday April 10.

It came as part of an intelligence-led visit alongside Police Scotland.

A 32-year-old Albanian man suspected to be working illegally was bailed with reporting restrictions.

Police confirmed they attended to assist in the partner agency which they said was lead by the Home Office.

A Home Office spokesperson said: “Immigration Enforcement officers attended a premises on Crow Road in Glasgow at approximately 16:00 hours on 10/04/21 on an intelligence-led visit alongside officers from Police Scotland.

“A 32-year-old Albanian male suspected to be working illegally was bailed with reporting restrictions.“

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were assisting a partner agency.

“The incident was led by the Home Office.”
